Who We Are

As a lifelong resident of Orange County, Charlene Campbell always cared about her community. She and her husband Jeff began serving on a district task force, charged with closing the achievement gap. As parents, they were always active in their children’s lives; however, they soon realized that not all kids shared that same advantage and their rural county lacked strong mentoring services. From this personal passion came Beyond Expectations. Teaming up with another active set of parents in the community, they founded the 501(c)3 organization in 2009. Beyond Expectations has also proudly served as a 4-H chapter since 2013.​
